Softball Recap: Ida Makes It Six in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Ida, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Dundee Vikings by a score of 13-10 on Monday. With that win, the Bluestreaks brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Jessica Schrader, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one double. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alex Haws, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI.

Ida always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Ida's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Dundee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.
