Basketball Recap: Turner Takes a Loss

Turner played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Basehor-Linwood Bobcats, falling 71-28. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Bobcats are ranked 71st).

When it comes to explaining why Turner lost, don't look at Tyland Mcgee. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaron Cheatom, who posted four points.

Turner is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13. As for Basehor-Linwood, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

Coincidentally, Turner and Basehor-Linwood will both be playing Shawnee Heights the next time they take the court. Basehor-Linwood will head out to face Shawnee Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while Turner will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on February 21st.
