Newman International Academy's loss ends four-game winning streak at home

The Newman International Academy Warriors lost against the ILTexas Arlington Eagles on January 6th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Newman International Academy was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 30-29 to ILTexas Arlington. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Newman International Academy in their matchups with ILTexas Arlington: they've now lost three in a row.
ILTexas Arlington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeremiah Burress led the charge by scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Burress hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Temi Banjo, who scored four points along with 13 rebounds.
Newman International Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-10. As for ILTexas Arlington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-15 record this season.
