Soccer Recap: Louisa County Comes Up Short

Louisa County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Albemarle Patriots. While losing is never fun, Louisa County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while Albemarle are ranked 31st).

Louisa County's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Albemarle, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Louisa County will challenge rival Fluvanna County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Albemarle is set to square off against their familiar foe Western Albemarle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
