Recap: Mullen Mustangs vs. Boulder Panthers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cherokee Trail, the Mullen Mustangs were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Boulder 75-37 on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mullen also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Despite the loss, Boulder still got an impressive performance from Megan Matthews, who scored 22 points. Matthews is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Mullen's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Boulder, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Mullen will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Regis Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. As for Boulder, they will face off against DSST: Conservatory Green at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. DSST: Conservatory Green comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
