The Twin Loup Wolves will challenge the Neligh-Oakdale Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Twin Loup will be strutting in after a victory while Neligh-Oakdale will be coming in after a defeat.
Twin Loup lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Burwell, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Wolves blew past the Longhorns 40-14 on Friday. Considering the Wolves have won three matchups by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Twin Loup's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Oran Grint, who rushed for 108 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also picked up 63 receiving yards and one TD. Grint has become a key player for the Wolves: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise. Carter Hall also helped with two scores in total.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Twin Loup was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Twin Loup didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Yahya Harris.
Despite a strong season so far, Neligh-Oakdale has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were dealt an 80-12 loss at the hands of St. Mary's on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Cardinals are ranked fourth).
Twin Loup will have to contain Dylan Furstenau as he made an impact in Neligh-Oakdale's last game. He picked up 93 receiving yards and one TD. Furstenau got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 63 yards.
Twin Loup pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.3 points over those games. As for Neligh-Oakdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Thursday's contest might be decided on the ground. Twin Loup has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 185.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Neligh-Oakdale struggles in that department as they've been averaging 185.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
