Softball Recap: Morse Comes Up Short

Morse was the 14-7 winner over Canyon Crest Academy when they last played one another back in March of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. Morse fell just short of Canyon Crest Academy by a score of 6-5 on Friday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Camryn Salvador made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Beyah Salvador was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Camryn wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Morse kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. This was only their first loss (out of three games) when they post 11 or more hits.

Morse now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Canyon Crest Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morse will head out to take on Fallbrook at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Canyon Crest Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Liberty Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
