Munster is 8-2 against Hanover Central since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Munster will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

On Friday, Munster was able to grind out a solid win over Kankakee Valley, taking the game 6-3.

Portage hit Hanover Central with a four-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly three runs.

Hanover Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nora Edgerton, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Munster's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hanover Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
