Basketball Game Preview: Preston Pirates vs. Stroud Tigers

Preston has gone 4-0 against Stroud recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Preston Pirates are taking a road trip to face off against the Stroud Tigers at 8:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Preston is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Morris, posting a 68-38 win. The victory was nothing new for the Pirates as they're now sitting on four straight.

Meanwhile, Stroud didn't have too much trouble with Depew on Tuesday as they won 66-51.

Preston's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Stroud, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Everything came up roses for Preston against Stroud when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured an 88-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Preston since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
