Volleyball Recap: Central A & M Raiders vs. Heyworth Hornets
Central A & M was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Heyworth Hornets.
The final score came out to 25-15, 25-20.
Heyworth got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Riddle out in front who had five digs, three aces, and a kill. That's the most aces Riddle has posted since back in September. Lyla Tate was another key player, getting 13 kills, three digs, and two blocks.
Central A & M's record is now 6-19. As for Heyworth, their victory bumped their record up to 17-9.
Central A & M will play host again on Thursday to welcome Clinton, where the match is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. As for Heyworth, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley on the 15th.
