Soccer Recap: Ithaca Takes a Loss

Ithaca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Swan Valley Vikings. While losing is never fun, Ithaca can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 412th, while Swan Valley are ranked 163rd).

Ithaca's loss dropped their record down to 1-12-1. As for Swan Valley, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Looking ahead, Ithaca will host Alma at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Swan Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Millington at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Swan Valley will be up against Millington's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.18 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
