Basketball Recap: Clear Fork Comes Up Short

Clear Fork lost against Fredericktown back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Clear Fork Colts took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fredericktown Freddies.

Despite the loss, Clear Fork saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Carter Coole went 6 of 11 en route to 16 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Garett Hotz, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.

Clear Fork's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fredericktown, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-2.

Clear Fork wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-36 victory against Galion on the 6th. As for Fredericktown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-46 win against Wynford on the 7th.
