Football Game Recap: Winnebago vs. Homer

Everything came up roses for Winnebago against Homer on Friday as the squad secured a 50-6 victory. That result was just more of the same for Winnebago, who also won the last time these teams played.

Winnebago started the contest off right with 34 first-half points. Meanwhile, Homer couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 34-0 heading into the break. The Winnebago defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. The win got Winnebago back to even at 2-2. Homer are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.

Next week Winnebago take on Wisner-Pilger at 7:00 PM. Wisner-Pilger also lit up the scoreboard in their last matchup, so this could be a high-scoring matchup. As for Homer, they will face off against Wakefield.
