Football Recap: Myrtle Beach Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Myrtle Beach couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were outmatched by the Berkeley Stags and fell 61-13. The game marked the Seahawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Henry Rivers continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Berkeley, rushing for 133 yards and two scores on only six carries, while also throwing for 201 yards and three TDs on only 19 passes. Those 133 rushing yards gave Rivers a new career-high. Malik Callen was another key player, picking up 119 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Myrtle Beach's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Berkeley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Myrtle Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Berkeley, they will square off against Irmo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
