Basketball Recap: Mcmichael's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Reidsville, McMichael was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Magna Vista Warriors by a score of 55-42. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 69-53 back in December of 2024.

McMichael found their leader in sophomore JJ Tatum, who posted 21 points and three steals. Ja'Keis Vernon was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards.

McMichael was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

With the win, McMichael broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-14. As for Magna Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

McMichael has already played their next match, a 59-44 defeat against Morehead on the 31st. As for Magna Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-49 loss against Tunstall on the 31st.
