Volleyball Recap: Pelham Panthers vs. Spanish Fort Toros
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pelham can now relate to. They came up short against the Spanish Fort Toros on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Panthers have struggled against the Toros recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Pelham was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Spanish Fort work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 26-24, 25-19.
Camryn Mcminn paced Pelham's offense, picking up 17 kills. Mcminn got some help from
Kylee Hester and her 24 assists. Mcminn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Pelham's defeat dropped their record down to 37-17. As for Spanish Fort, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 63-10.
