Basketball Recap: Brian Cunniff Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Gloucester Catholic

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Wildwood ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They managed a 64-59 victory over the Gloucester Catholic Rams. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Wildwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brian Cunniff led the charge by putting up 28 points and eight boards. The contest was Cunniff's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Dozier, who posted 12 points and six rebounds.

Wildwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matches.

Wildwood's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7. As for Gloucester Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 4-7.
