Basketball Recap: Brewer Extends Winning Streak to Three

Gardiner came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Brewer, but Owen Fullerton wouldn't allow it. The Brewer Witches came out on top against the Gardiner Tigers by a score of 57-45 on Tuesday thanks in part to Fullerton, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ollie Higgins, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times he's played.

The victory (which was Brewer's third in a row) raised their record to 13-2. As for Gardiner, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Brewer will head out to square off against Hampden at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Brewer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.2 points per game this season. As for Gardiner, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nokomis at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Gardiner and five for Nokomis.
