Baseball Game Preview: McClintock Chargers vs. Fairfax Stampede

For the second straight game, McClintock will face off against Fairfax. The Chargers will challenge the Stampede at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.

McClintock took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Fairfax get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Stampede recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Bradford McCurdy made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because McClintock is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise. McCurdy was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Lucas Wisehart was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).

McClintock's record is now 9-7. As for Fairfax, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-7 record.
