Basketball Recap: 16 Straight Home Victories for Indian River

Indian River came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the General Brown Lions by a score of 44-33. This was a revenge game for the Wolves: when they faced off against the Lions back in December of 2024, they had to take a 50-43 loss.

Indian River's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allison LaMora, who went 5 of 6 en route to 11 points in addition to eight boards and three blocks. LaMora is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Keera LaLonde, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 15 points and four steals.
