Softball Recap: Collierville Takes a Loss

Collierville lost against Arlington back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Dragons fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 7-5.

Collierville's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-7-1. As for Arlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collierville will head out to face off against Briarcrest Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arlington, they will take on Houston at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
