Soccer Recap: Wylie East Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Wylie East after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Garland Owls who were credited with the win. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against they this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in February.

This is the second loss in a row for Wylie East and nudges their season record down to 11-8. As for Garland, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-8-2.

Looking ahead, Wylie East will host Wylie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wylie will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Wylie East surely won't give up without a fight. As for Garland, they will venture away from home to take on North Garland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Garland is facing North Garland at the right time seeing as North Garland is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
