Basketball Recap: Red Rock Takes a Loss

Red Rock lost against Camp Verde back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Red Rock Scorpions took a blow against the Camp Verde Cowboys, falling 77-48. The Scorpions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Camp Verde to victory were Jordan McMahon-Fullmer and Julian Perez. McMahon-Fullmer went 16 of 23 on his way to 37 points and eight boards, while Perez went 8 for 11 en route to 19 points and eight rebounds. The game was McMahon-Fullmer's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Russell, who posted eight points and seven assists.

Red Rock's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Camp Verde, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-10.

Red Rock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-51 win against Grand Canyon on the 23rd. As for Camp Verde, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-54 victory against Phoenix Christian on the 24th.
