Softball Game Preview: University Trojans vs. Ellison Eagles

The University Trojans will face off against the Ellison Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. University will be strutting in after a victory while Ellison will be coming in after a loss.

University was handed a 12-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They skirted past Belton 7-5. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Ellison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-0 to Lake Belton.

University's victory bumped their record up to 10-6-1. As for Ellison, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.

Everything went University's way against Ellison in their previous matchup back in March, as University made off with a 19-0 win. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
