The Chandler Prep Titans had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They slipped by Santa Cruz Valley 55-54. That's another feather in the cap for Chandler Prep, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

It was another big night for Noah Ruiz, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and four steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb So, who scored 13 points.

Chandler Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Santa Cruz Valley, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chandler Prep will challenge Tempe Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tempe Prep is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
