Softball Recap: Struthers Wildcats vs. McKinley Red Dragons

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Struthers). They put the hurt on the McKinley Red Dragons with a sharp 14-6 victory on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their one-run performance the match before.

Katie Morris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ella Bailey, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with seven RBI, two triples, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Samantha Minno, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.
