The Frankton Eagles will challenge the Wes-Del Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Frankton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
On Saturday, Frankton made easy work of Eastern Hancock and carried off a 10-4 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Brayden Hutton tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Caine Oakley was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Frankton: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarrett Morris, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Wes-Del lost 8-2 to Daleville on Thursday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Wes-Del saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Sherfy, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Sherfy has hit this season.
Frankton pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Wes-Del, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.
Wes-Del's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Frankton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .350. It's a different story for Wes-Del, though, as they've only averaged .225. Will they be able to contain Frankton's hitters?
Frankton took their win against Wes-Del in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 19-5 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
