Cookeville came tearing into  Friday's  matchup with six straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Sycamore War Eagles by a score of  12-8. Cookeville's win was all the more impressive since the War Eagles were averaging only 3.75 runs allowed on the season.
