Football Recap: Cooper Cougars vs. Coronado Mustangs
While Cooper put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Coronado. The Cougars simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mustangs 59-0. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Cougars had established a 52-point advantage.
Cooper had a senior duo take command as Peyton Ewing gained 167 total yards and three touchdowns and Jaden Carrillo threw for 101 yards and three TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes. Ewing also set a new season-high mark in rushing yards with 119.
