Volleyball Recap: Poly Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

Panorama typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Poly proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Pythons 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Parrots.

Poly got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-17, 25-17.

Leandro Juarez paced Poly's offense, picking up 17 kills. Juarez got some help from Jao Libunoa and his 29 assists. Finally, Juarez was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Poly's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-8. As for Panorama, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Poly and Grant will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:30 p.m. on the 21st. The Lancers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Parrots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Panorama, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on San Fernando at 4:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
