Football Recap: Marvelous Jackson and Liam Fernandez Secure Win for Southeast + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Southeast, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Braden River Pirates by a score of 28-15 on Friday. This was payback for the Seminoles, who suffered a 35-7 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leading Southeast to victory were Liam Fernandez and Marvelous Jackson. Fernandez threw for 246 yards and one touchdown while completing 75% of his passes, while Jackson rushed for 102 yards and one score. Those 246 passing yards gave Fernandez a new career-high. 83 of Fernandez's passing yards were hauled in by Reece Wilson.

Southeast is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.0 points on average over those games. As for Braden River, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Southeast will be playing in front of their home fans against Northeast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Braden River, they are taking a road trip to square off against Manatee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
