Baseball Recap: Grand Island Falls Short Against Ranked Lincoln Southwest

Grand Island faced Lincoln Southwest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Islanders came up short against the Silver Hawks, falling 13-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Islanders have suffered against the Silver Hawks since April 26, 2018.

Broxton Barrientos was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run.

Grand Island's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Lincoln Southwest, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.
