Softball Game Preview: Brock Eagles vs. Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees

The Brock Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brock is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Brock's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Mineral Wells as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Stephenville hadn't done well against Graham recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Yellow Jackets/Honeybees walked away with a 7-3 win over the Steers. Winning may never get old, but the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Brock pushed their record up to 21-0-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Stephenville, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10-1.

Brock skirted past Stephenville 6-5 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
