Sandpoint has gone 9-1 against Bonners Ferry recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field against the Badgers at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Sandpoint put up the most runs they have all season on Saturday. Everything went their way against Lewiston as they made off with a 16-6 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Dallen Williams was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Sandpoint is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-8 otherwise. Williams was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last 12 contests.

In other batting news, Sandpoint let Jesse Turner and Andrew Lehman run wild. Turner got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Lehman went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Turner a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mason Little, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, Bonners Ferry didn't have quite enough to beat Coeur d'Alene on Saturday and fell 17-15. The Badgers have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.
Ronin Hanson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Stryder Liermann was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Sandpoint has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Bonners Ferry, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
