It's playoff time, and Deep Run had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Western Branch Bruins a 7-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Deep Run, who have now won 15 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

The win was the 13th in a row for Deep Run, bringing their record up to 18-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those 13 games. As for Western Branch, with the loss, they broke their 11-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-3.
