Softball Game Preview: Antelope Valley Antelopes vs. Eastside Lions

Antelope Valley is 0-10 against Eastside since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Antelopes will square off against the Lions at 3:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Antelope Valley is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Highland, falling 10-1. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Antelopes couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Eastside unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 8-3 to Quartz Hill.

Eastside saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hermoine Jimenez, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Jimenez's first of the season.

Antelope Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Eastside, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5-1.

Antelope Valley couldn't quite get it done against Eastside when the teams last played back in March as they fell 4-1. Can the Antelopes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
