Basketball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Del City Eagles, falling 76-9. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while the Eagles are ranked 40th).

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Del City, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-4.

Marshall will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Altus at 6:00 p.m. Marshall is facing Altus at the right time seeing as Altus is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Del City, they will venture away from home to take on Midwest City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Del City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
