A-8 South - Southern (8 Man) recap October 1, 2013

Hoehne extended the longest winning streak in A-8 South - Southern (8 Man) this week by beating Manzanola, 55-8. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Farmers.

Fowler took down Cripple Creek-Victor 57-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Blaine Larson ran for 89 yards in the win.

The Grizzlies' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cooper Wright threw for 30 yards and Tate Hershey had 24 yards receiving. On the ground Larson contributed 89 yards.

Larson was a passing and rushing force as Fowler bested the Pioneers.

Wright put up the best numbers in passing as John Ayers' team beat Cripple Creek-Victor.

The Grizzlies' Wright and Larry Hamilton led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Wright has thrown for 503 yards this season, while Hamilton has 12 catches for 306 yards. Wyatt Schrepfer from Hoehne leads the league in rushing with 606 yards.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between McClave and Fowler. The Cardinals comes into the matchup ranked 18th in the state, while the Grizzlies ranks 12th.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when McClave takes on Fowler. Shawn Randel's team has allowed 63 points this season, while the Grizzlies have given up 88.
