Angleton lost against Victoria East back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Angleton Wildcats took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Victoria East Titans. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Emilio Canchola was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Angleton's loss dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for Victoria East, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
