Softball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-2 to the Fauquier Falcons. The Hawks have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Skyline saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlynn King, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Fauquier, the win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Skyline is set to take on their familiar foe Meridian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fauquier will challenge rival Millbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Falcons' favor as the team sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Pioneers have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
