Baseball Preview: NorthWood Panthers vs. Norwell Knights
The NorthWood Panthers will square off against the Norwell Knights at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
NorthWood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past New Prairie 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Connor Reed spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Mason Warren was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Bogan, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.

Noah Turk tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Trey Privett, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.
