Magruder had won three straight games and Gerald Suarez did his part to make it four on Friday. The Magruder Colonels strolled past the Walter Johnson Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 73-55 thanks in part to Suarez, who went 9 for 19 en route to 26 points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Magruder is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Walter Johnson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Magruder will challenge Einstein at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Magruder is facing Einstein at the right time seeing as Einstein is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Walter Johnson, they will square off against Bethesda-Chevy Chase at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
