Softball Recap: Alvin Sets Scoring Season-High Against South Houston

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alvin). They never let the South Houston Trojans get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Yellowjackets as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The victory got Alvin back to even at 6-6. As for South Houston, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Alvin has already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Dayton on the 1st. As for South Houston, they will welcome Manvel at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Houston has given up an average of 20 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
