Recap: Front Range Baptist Falcons vs. Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian Wildcats

The Front Range Baptist Falcons lost against the Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian Wildcats back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Front Range Baptist suffered a tough 48-27 loss at the hands of Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian. While losing is never fun, Front Range Baptist can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian is ranked 51st).

Front Range Baptist's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Katie Jaques, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals. Jaques has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played.

Front Range Baptist dropped their record down to 5-12 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.6 points per game. As for Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Front Range Baptist will look to defend their home court on Monday against Mile High Academy at 5:00 p.m. Hopefully Front Range Baptist focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday. Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
