Baseball Game Preview: Staples Wreckers vs. Norwalk Bears

The Staples Wreckers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Norwalk Bears at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Staples 2.6, Norwalk 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Staples is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Hall by a score of 6-2. The win continues a trend for the Wreckers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Norwalk faced Glastonbury in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bears sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Guardians.

Staples' win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Norwalk, their victory bumped their record up to 19-5.
