Preview: Gorman Panthers vs. Three Way
Gorman is 10-0 against Three Way since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Gorman Panthers will head out on the road to face off against Three Way at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Gorman has four straight victories, Three Way has 20 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
In what's become a running theme this season, Gorman gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Bluff Dale 77-7 on the road. Given Gorman's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while Bluff Dale is ranked 1393rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Three Way lost to Bluff Dale on the road by a decisive 46-28 margin on Tuesday. Three Way has struggled against Bluff Dale recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Gorman is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season. As for Three Way, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-9.
Everything came up roses for Gorman against Three Way in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 75-13 victory. With Gorman ahead 37-5 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
