Baseball Game Preview: Neshaminy Skins vs. Council Rock South Golden Hawks

For the second straight game, Neshaminy will face off against Council Rock South. The Skins will head out to challenge the Golden Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neshaminy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Council Rock South will be up against a hot Neshaminy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Skins blew past the Golden Hawks 9-1 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Skins have posted against the Golden Hawks since May 6, 2021.

Matthew Gryn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jake Plebani was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Anthony Kurley also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Council Rock South has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Neshaminy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
