Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Parkway walked away with it. They blew past the Covington Lions 51-30 on Friday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Kb Williams had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 184 yards and two TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Matthew Fussell, who threw for 152 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Another player making a difference was Devonta Chatman, who rushed for 53 yards and one score.

Parkway pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points over those games. As for Covington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Coming up, Parkway will challenge Hahnville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Covington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
