Baseball Recap: Mahanoy Area Has No Trouble Against Weatherly

Mahanoy Area came out on top against Weatherly on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run second inning. The Golden Bears were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Weatherly. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Bears in their matchups with Weatherly: they've now won five in a row.

Mahanoy Area saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Levi Terry, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The Golden Bears are 2-1 when Terry posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-14 otherwise. Another was Joe Rick, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Mahanoy Area's win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Weatherly, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
