Baseball Game Preview: Da Vinci Dragons vs. Horizon Scorpions

The Da Vinci Dragons will challenge the Horizon Scorpions at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Da Vinci saw some tournament action on Friday. Neither they nor Canutillo could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 6-6 tie.

Meanwhile, Horizon had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Fighting Irish.

Franklin Miller was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. George Alba was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Horizon's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. Da Vinci's tie gives them a new season record of 4-7-1.

Da Vinci couldn't quite finish off Horizon in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can Da Vinci avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
